Welcome to Huzzah! Beginners Journey Through Medieval Fairs. If you've ever walked through a medieval fair and felt a little overwhelmed or wondered what all the fuss was about, this group is for you. We're here to explore medieval fair culture together in a relaxed, judgment-free way. Whether you're curious about the history, the costumes, the food, the entertainment, or just want to hang out with people who think this stuff is fun, you'll find your people here.
Our plan is to attend fairs together, share tips about what to expect, talk about costumes and garb, swap recommendations for food vendors and performers, and generally help each other get more out of the experience. We'll also chat about medieval fair etiquette, how to budget for your visits, and answer questions like "what should I actually wear?" or "is it weird to participate if I'm not super into history?" (Spoiler: it's not.) No experience necessary. Some of us are history buffs, some of us just think it's a blast. All perspectives are welcome.
