Catskills: Hunter and SW Hunter 10 miles

Let's hike Hunter and SW Hunter Catskill hike!

~2400' gain
~ 5 to 6 hours approx for the hike.

Optional possibility to add Rusk at the end of the hike, making it 13 miles.

This hike is medium to difficult, as it includes some good elevation gain as well as a portion of "bushwack," or off trail hiking. Please be properly prepared.

From the parking area, we head up the BLUE carriage trail to the summit of Hunter. Have a nice time enjoying the view from the fire tower. We'll head down on YELLOW to the Devils Acre Lean-to, and turn onto the RED Devil's Path. We will turn onto the herd path for SW Hunter from there. We will out n back SW Hunter, then continue down the RED DP to Diamond Notch Falls. We will take the BLUE trail out to the road, and head back to the parking area.

Please be experienced enough to know what gear to wear and bring along. Please bring proper food and water.

We START AT 1000AM, so arrive earlier to get yourself together. We will not wait for stragglers.
