Harriman Hike - 12 miles from Tuxedo train station w swim?

Lets meet up for a strenuous hike through Harriman State Park. Roughly 12 miles. There are plenty of ups and downs on this hike, small but steep climbs... I wouldn't recommend this hike for beginners. Expect to hike about approx 6 hrs. We will hike at a quick but not super fast pace.

Optional swimming during extended lunch.

Self sufficient hikers only. We'll go over the route at the trailhead. faster hikers are not obligated to wait for slower ones

We will be able to access the trailhead from the parking area which is across the train tracks. NOT the small lot directly at the station. head north at the station and make the first right turn, drive over the tracks and the lot is on the left

NYC'ER'S: There is a train leaving penn station at 9:14 that gets into the tuxedo station at 10:29, You must get off at Secacus first then hop on the train to Tuxedo

YOU MUST HAVE a copy of this map with, on these harriman hikes people tend to split up in smaller groups.....
