AT Connecticut to Mass line, Backpack adventure

Day 1;
Meet at Jug End Road Parking (42.14447, -73.43144) then consolidate into a few cars and drive to Upper Mountain Road Parking area (41.99411, -73.42674). Then we hike north on the AT 8.2 miles, 2,082 ft. elevation gain & 1,247 ft. elevation descent to Laurel Ridge Campsite, where we will spend the night

Day 2;
Hike from Laurel Ridge Campsite north to Jug End Road parking area; 8 miles, 1,771 ft. elevation gain & 2,515 ft. elevation descent.

Day Hikers
Day hikers can meet us at the Laurel Ridge Campground on Sunday morning via Mount Riga State Park Parking area. Take the Mount Riga Trail to the AT and go north to Laurel Ridge Campground. Then hike with us to Jug End Road.

NOTE: You are responsible for bringing appropriate gear, supplies, clothing, first aid, and lights. You should review topographic maps and trail features carefully; understanding topography of any hike is key to your knowing where you are, where you're going, and how to get back.
