Kafka Consumers on Fire: Troubleshooting Real-World FailuresAbstract:
Kafka is easy to start with, but production consumer pipelines get challenging as traffic grows and downstream services slow down.
In this session, we’ll explore real-world Kafka challenges, including consumer lag, partitioning, concurrency, rebalances, retries, and duplicate processing. We’ll also cover monitoring, bottleneck identification, and building resilient consumers that recover gracefully from failures.
The goal is to help engineers confidently debug and operate Kafka-based systems in production.-----
