Saddleback Singles ZtoZ - Small Group Friday
·OnlineOnlineEach Friday we meet from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm discussing the Talk It Over notes from the previous week’s service or other topics related to Saddleback Church over Zoom.
Please note that you will need an authenticated Zoom account, and please set your name to your actual name, ideally appending the city you’re in—we have members from around the country and the world, so it helps to identify our neighbors. If you don’t include your real name, you may not be permitted entry.
PREPARE FOR THE MEETING
Please note that you will need an authenticated Zoom account. Many find it helpful to sign in to Zoom before joining the meeting. You do need to set your name to your actual name, and it helps to append the city you’re in—we have members from around the country and the world, so it helps to identify our neighbors. If you don’t include your real name, you may not be permitted entry. Our small group time is meant to be a time of honest discussion about the topic for the evening, and we want everyone to have a chance to share, so please be ready to answer each question succinctly, and stay on the topic so there’s no need to interrupt anyone.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After introducing any newcomers, we will begin the Bible study, finishing up around 8:30 pm. Please be respectful of others’ time and join on time so we can finish on time, and if anyone is up for it, we will chat afterwards. It helps to keep your video on for visual cues to know if you’re ready to share, but first timers can just hang back and soak it in.If you don’t have time to go over everything, that’s fine; often the discussion questions work well on their own, but sometimes they will require quite a bit of introspection—HOMEWORK, as I like to say! If you love to share a lot, please allow others time to share as well. If you’re one who doesn’t share that much, please feel free to jump in; we’d love to hear your thoughts.
WHO WE ARE
Just a reminder to those who have been invited by others: this is a small group Bible study for Christians or those on the path to becoming a Christian, studying God’s word together, primarily for singles in their 30’s to 50’s. Please understand that this isn’t a dating group, and we do welcome those who are in various stages of a relationship, especially couples.GROUND RULES
- What is said in the group stays in the group
- Don’t minimize other people’s pain
- Don’t try to fix people, just listen

About the Headliner Robert G. Lee:
Robert has spent more than 3 decades making people laugh—on stage, on screen, and behind the scenes of television’s most iconic sitcoms. After a storied childhood in Indiana, he moved to Hollywood and got his big break on Golden Girls. His lightning-quick ad-libs and knack for keeping audiences engaged for hours made him the first choice of TV’s most respected producers, leading to over 1,500 episodes of hit shows like Cheers, Becker, Two and a Half Men, Old Christine, The Hogan Family, Perfect Strangers, Wings, Step by Step, Just Shoot Me, The Drew Carey Show, Rules of Engagement, Mom, Last Man Standing, and One Day at a Time. The star of more than ten 100% clean comedy specials, Robert’s stand-up has been featured on DryBar Comedy, Bananas, Showtime’s The Joke’s On Thee, and VH1’s Stand Up Spotlight. He’s also written scripts for the beloved animated series VeggieTales—an ideal outlet for his playful humor and gift for storytelling with a moral center.103 attendees
