I Might Be Old(er) But I Still Love Going To Gigs

More than four years since her last Australian tour, Courtney makes her homecoming in the wake of extensive UK and North American dates. Known for a performance that’s part intimate storytelling, part indie rock, with bursts of raw grunge-like energy, Courtney Barnett live is genuine and authentic. A signature blend of moody guitar, witty, anecdotal lyrics and her laconic talk-singing have cemented her as “one of the most distinctive voices in indie music” (The Mancunion).

Released in March, Creature of Habit is the highly anticipated new album from the indie trailblazer. It’s a bold, emotionally resonant record that explores the central question: how to get out of your own way so you can truly feel your life.

To celebrate the release of their new album Before The Show, Tex Perkins and Matt Walker return to the stage for a series of special performances throughout September to November 2026.

Built on decades of friendship and musical collaboration, these shows showcase two of Australia’s most respected artists at their most authentic. Performing songs from Before The Show alongside carefully selected favourites, Perkins and Walker deliver an intimate evening of exceptional songwriting, masterful musicianship and unforgettable storytelling.

Recorded largely as first takes, Before The Show captures the honesty and spontaneity that have long defined their partnership. Those same qualities come alive on stage, where no two performances are ever quite the same.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Tex Perkins and Matt Walker as they celebrate the release of one of their most personal and compelling recordings together.
