Dover to Jurong East Walk

Meet: Dover MRT (EW22) Passenger Service Centre
When: Sunday 1st June 2025 - 4 pm

**This is a Rain or Shine event. Please take a good lunch or bring along some snacks if you feel hungry along the way.

Please be punctual. You are encouraged to be slightly early to avoid disappointments. There will be 5 minutes grace for attendance taking. Please remember that we cannot wait because this would be unfair to those already present.

This Meetup group is a community-led group by volunteers. Please extend grace in areas of inadequacy. You are most welcome to give constructive feedback; we strive for improvement!

Start our journey from Dover as we walk along the Ulu Pandan connector towards Jurong East. If time permits, we will explore the Ulu Pandan Reservoir!

The Ulu Pandan Park Connector has an amazing array of biodiversity, such as the Grey Heron (Andrea cinerea) and the White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis). Along the way, view the now-defunct railway truss bridge across Sungei Ulu Pandan, part of the old Jurong line.

A family of otters lives there too! If you are lucky, you will get to see them.

We will end our journey at the Jurong East Mall for dinner.

This is a Rain or Shine event. Where there are thunderstorms, we will adjourn for coffee or early dinner. We will resume the walk once the rain subsides.

Event communication will be through the event comments section. Please check the event comments section on the day of the event so that you will be updated on any changes.

Please keep in mind that I may not respond to messages sent after the walk starts because I will be busy helping the attendees and leading the walk.

Please be sure to RSVP responsibly to help those who are on the waitlist get the chance to come for the walks.

As a consideration to others, you should change your RSVP status the day before the event to allow those on the waitlist time to schedule for the event if you can't attend.

If I notice many no-shows despite the RSVPs, I may remove you from the RSVP list so that others can join my walks.
