In celebration of Bastille Day, two acclaimed modern French restaurants from opposite corners of New York are joining forces for one night. At La Bastide in North Salem, New York, chef Andrea Calstier honors his Provençal roots and deep connection to Hudson Valley’s seasonal bounty. Chef Mitsunobu Nagae of Tribeca’s l’abeille showcases a refined, Japanese-inflected interpretation of French cuisine shaped by his global training in Michelin-starred restaurants. Their tasting menu pays homage to more than two centuries of French culinary evolution—as the Revolution reshaped not just a nation, but the very foundation of fine dining.
