We are heading to JBF Platform! Two James Beard Award–Recognized Chefs Unite for a Classic New York Feast
The narrative between Jewish and Chinese food culture is one of New York City's oldest stories, born on the Lower East Side in the 19th century. From the habitual Sunday night Chinese dinners to the iconic Christmas feasting, it's a centuries-old crossover straight out of the melting pot—with two cultures who take food very seriously.
This dinner brings that connection to the plate with a collaboration featuring two James Beard Award–recognized chefs: executive chef Emily Yuen of the Michelin-starred Yingtao and chef Caroline Schiff, author of Daily Dessert and founder of the forthcoming Monday Diner in Brooklyn.
Together, the chefs will blend Yuen’s fine-dining Cantonese technique with Schiff’s signature diner nostalgia and pastry prowess for a multi-course, quintessential New York feast.
Copies of Schiff’s new cookbook, Daily Dessert, are available for purchase with ticket or at the event, courtesy of our friends at Kitchen Arts & Letters.
