This meetup is focused on helping IT and business people to leverage IBM and open source technologies on Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) to address business problems that were not imaginable before. The meetup is meant to be a community planning and executing seminars, workshops and other gatherings.
PowerAI is an IBM offering consisting of a free software stack of open source DL frameworks (TensorFlow, Caffe, Torch, etc.) and IBM developed tools to assist in the DL process (PowerAI Vision, Power AI DL Insight, etc). Everything pre-compiled and running on a very fast IBM Power A922 with NVIDIA GPUs and NVLink as interconnect between CPUs and GPUs. IBM PowerAI technologies are designed to cut the time to value for Deep Learning by addressing not just the pieces in the end-to-end Deep Learning lifecycle, but really focusing on those pieces that cause the most trouble.
