Indian Lake segment

Details

It's been a while, but this group is ramping up with some hikes this fall. Several of which with some new volunteers leading the way -- like this one!

This will be about a 4 mile hike on Ice Age Trail and the trail north of the lake to loop back to the parking area. For those interested, we'll likely do extra 1.5 mile spur (through the Hwy 19 underpass) into the Halfway Prairie area north of 19. But those looking for shorter option, it's easy getting back to the parking.

We'll start in Indian Lake Park by the shelter and restrooms.

So just to give you an update a few of the organizers scouted this hike this past weekend. This segment of the Ice Age trail at Indian Lake is absolutely stunning with beautiful views, but it does have some uneven ground and some steep hills, so it's a little more challenging than our easier hikes. If you have hiking poles definitely bring them along. Everyone is welcome to join, but please be ready for both adventure and breathtaking scenery. Also, if you want to hike another mile there's a beautiful chapel up at the top of the hill. It has a lot of history and again the views are spectacular. Please message me if you have any questions or concerns.
