Mammoth Challenge / Full Moon Hike - Table Bluff

Work on the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Mammoth Hike challenge (individually or as team, hike 45 miles on Ice Age Trail and visit 3 Trail Communities in October).

With the Full Moon rising during the hike, we'll go through the prairies and wooded areas near Table Bluff -- out in the driftless area. Round trip is 4.8 miles with a couple moderate hills.

We'll explore the restored prairies and oak savannas along the trail and hopefully have a great view overlooking the Black Earth Creek valley with Blue Mounds off in the distance. And on the return part of the hike, we'll hopefully experience a great full moon overlooking the valley.

And of course be on the look out for the Swamplovers alligator!

Depending on weather / cloud cover, be sure to have good hiking shoes and lights/headlamps in case the moon isn't able to fully light the way. Trekking poles may also be desired.
