Mammoth Challenge Hike - Cross Plains

Work on the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Mammoth Hike challenge (individually or as team, hike 46 miles on Ice Age Trail and visit 3 Trail Communities in October).

This will be a fairly short 3 mile hike, but with opportunities to explore more of the segment on your own. We'll take the trail south from the shelter on Glacial Valley Conservancy portion of the segment. On the return trip will stay along Black Earth Creek and go past the IATA Office (opportunity to stop in and buy your Mammoth Challenge T-Shirt or other merch) before going back to the parking lot.

Cross Plains is a Trail Community to go towards the Challenge!

We'll hike past the Hometown Highlight (bonus miles!)

There are no bathrooms at trailhead, but there is Crossroads Coffeehouse (also a trail magic host) and Kwik Trip when you come into town on Highway 14.
