About us
The Idlewild Park Preservation Committee is a committee of the Eastern Queens Alliance, Inc, a federation of civic associations in Southeast Queens. It is a stewardship group dedicated to the preservation, development and maintenance of Idlewild Park Preserve, a 346 acre wetland area in the Brookville, Rosedale and Springfield Gardens Communities. The wetlands in the park constitute the headwaters to Jamaica Bay. The park is a valuable intertidal saltmarsh. The committee plans activities, events and effective methods to implement the committee's strategic action plan.
