About us
Do you like to try new foods - and share with friends? We host meetups that are not too big .. so people can get acquainted and get to know one another!
Do you prefer restaurants with local charm over the big chain restaurants? Do you enjoy traditional dishes from different countries and cultures? Do you like to cook - or at least do you like sharing what others have prepared - we have many kinds of "participants" in our group! Are you willing to try new dishes, seasonings, or preparations at least once?
Meet locally with like-minded people who like to cook, eat and share friendship over a good meal, pot-luck, bbq, or an occasional game of cards with appetizers - this group is for you! Dine out, trade recipes/tips/ideas, go to classes or presentations about food, gardening, wine pairing, teas, or just about anything that has to do with food and drink, maybe even travel to food festivals that are nearby!
For our restaurant Meetups, separate checks or cash for your share plus tip are the norm. Sometimes, depending on the restaurant, we may dine family-style. Suggestions are welcomed! Assistant organizers - please feel free to volunteer for this innovative and important role!
Please be sure to RSVP if you are attending, and change your YES to a NO if you have a last-minute change of plans. We will have a "three strikes rule," meaning if you RSVP Yes to events and no-show three times (without a valid excuse) you will be removed from the group.
There is usually no charge for our events but occasionally there might be a fee to pay up-front to cover costs or a refundable deposit to hold your seat. Please note that payment "per event" is usually non-refundable as the hosts are already purchasing supplies. Thanks for your understanding.

In 1974, the King Minos Circus is struggling to survive—until Christos “King” Minos unveils a dazzling new illusion: a vanishing elephant act starring Henrietta, the animal he loves more fiercely than he can admit. But when Henrietta disappears during a parade, the trick becomes something far more dangerous.
Suspicion falls on Minos’s estranged daughter, Randi—an activist who has vowed to free the circus elephants—and on Ainge, the circus’s newest clown, a young man still haunted by his father’s rejection after learning he is gay. Minos feels betrayed by both and vows to recover Henrietta and bring those responsible to justice.
But are Randi and Ainge the villains Minos imagines? Their journey across the American West—through small towns, roadside shows, and shifting loyalties—forces them all to confront hard questions about family, freedom, and who truly belongs to whom.
