Deconstructing Religion

What happens when the beliefs you were taught no longer make sense—or when you’re beginning to wonder whether you want to keep them at all?
Join two former evangelical Christians for an open, honest, and judgment-free conversation about deconstructing religion. We’ll talk about what it’s like to question deeply held beliefs, leave a faith community, rethink your relationship with religion, or simply sit with uncertainty.
This meetup is open to anyone who has been formally religious and wants to talk about their experience—whether you’ve already left, are considering leaving, are somewhere in between, or just want to understand your own beliefs more deeply.
Come share your story, ask questions, listen to others, or just be around people who understand what it’s like to reconsider the framework you were raised with. No particular beliefs or conclusions are required. Curiosity, honesty, and respect are welcome.
We will be meeting in one of the small study rooms at Riverside Public Library Main branch. We will post more information about the location the week of the event.
