๐ Beyond Belief Book Club
Got questions? So do we. Got opinions? Even better.
Join the IEAAH Beyond Belief Book Club, where the only thing we'll be burning is through a good stack of books.
What if the natural world isn't something we simply useโbut something we're in a relationship with?
This month's selection is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, a beautiful and thought-provoking exploration of plants, ecology, Indigenous wisdom, and our complicated relationship with the living world. Kimmerer invites us to reconsider what nature can teach us about generosity, reciprocity, gratitude, and what it means to be a good human being on this planet.
We'll gather on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Back to the Grind Coffee House to talk about the book, share perspectives, and wrestle with some wonderfully big questions: Can science and spirituality coexist? What do we owe the natural world? Is gratitude enoughโor does it require action? And can we learn to see a tree as more than just lumber with leaves?
No preaching. No dogma. No requirement to hug a treeโalthough we won't judge.
Whether you're an atheist, humanist, environmentalist, skeptic, spiritual-but-unsure, or simply someone who likes a good book and an even better conversation, you are welcome.
