Come and speak English for two hours. No textbook, no test, no cost.
This is a free trial lesson for Japanese speakers who want to start — or restart — English. Complete beginners are genuinely welcome. If the last time you spoke English was in a school classroom twenty years ago, this evening was built for you.
WHAT WE'LL ACTUALLY DO
• Introduce yourself in three sentences. Everyone can do it by the end.
• A walking game where you ask questions in English and find people who answer yes.
• The katakana problem: why マクドナルド has six beats and McDonald's has three, and how fixing that alone makes you sound dramatically more natural.
• R and L, and the "th" sound — practical, physical, and funnier than it sounds.
• Short role-plays: giving directions, ordering in a café, meeting a new neighbour.
• A team quiz with prizes.
You will speak. You will also laugh. Nobody gets put on the spot or corrected in a way that embarrasses them. The one rule of the room is that mistakes are the lesson.

Cost: Free. Nothing to pay, nothing to sign.
Bring: Nothing. A pen if you like.
Language: English and Japanese. I explain in Japanese whenever it helps.
ABOUT ME
I'm Kyle Boyer, from Chicago. I've been a licensed teacher for over ten years, teaching every grade and every subject, and I've been rated Highly Effective in every year I've taught. I came to Japan as an ALT, then taught at an eikaiwa, and now I teach English and other school subjects here in Iizuka.
AFTERWARDS
I run a weekly Friday group class, one-to-one lessons, children's classes, and study support in all subjects. I'll mention them once at the end and leave a flyer. There's no pressure and no sales pitch — come for the two hours and go home if that's all you wanted.

【当日やること】
• 3つの文でできる自己紹介。最後には全員ができるようになります。
• 教室を歩いて、英語で質問して回るゲーム。
• カタカナの話。「マクドナルド」は6拍、英語の McDonald's は3拍。ここを直すだけで、聞こえ方が大きく変わります。
• R と L、そして th の音。口の形の話なので、笑いながら練習できます。
• 短いロールプレイ。道案内、カフェでの注文、外国から来たお隣さんへの挨拶。
• チーム対抗クイズ（景品あり）。
必ず声を出す時間があります。ただし、人前で恥をかかせるようなことはしません。この部屋のルールはひとつだけ、「まちがいがレッスンです」。

【講師について】
カイル・ボイヤー。アメリカ・イリノイ州シカゴ出身。教員免許を持つ現役の教師で、指導歴は10年以上。全学年・全教科を教えてきました。勤務したすべての年で最高評価（Highly Effective）を受けています。ALT として来日し、その後は英会話スクールで指導。今は飯塚で、英語と他の教科を教えています。
【このあとについて】
毎週金曜のグループレッスン、マンツーマン、こども英語、全教科の学習サポートを行っています。最後に一度だけご案内し、チラシをお渡しします。無理な勧誘はいたしません。2時間だけ楽しんで、そのままお帰りいただいてかまいません。
