A Year in the Life of Illustrator with Neeraj and Yogesh from Adobe, India

Details

Neeraj Nandkeolyar and Yogesh Sharma, product owners of Adobe Illustrator, will fill us in on the details of all the great new features that have been introduced in Illustrator in the past year.

We're at a different venue for this meeting, which sadly means no pizza or drinks available. It does mean that it's a free meeting though, so that's the up side. Please plan accordingly. We're also on a Tuesday instead of our usual Wednesday.

Feel free to arrive any time between 6:30 and 7:00. We'll start the presentation at 7PM. It's going to be jam-packed with info. Hope you can make it!

Neeraj started with Adobe Illustrator in 1997 with (ver 5.5), when he began working as a designer/production artist in a design studio. Over the years as a designer, he worked extensively on branding and packaging assignments. In 2003, his role changed when he joined the Adobe Illustrator team as a Quality Engineer. This was the time the team was building the first version of Creative Suite. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous features big and small.

In his current role, he works as part of the Product Management team working closely with engineering in defining the new features for upcoming releases. Neeraj played a key role as the Product Owner for the Touch Workspace project in the recently released version of Illustrator CC.

Yogesh joined Adobe and the Illustrator team in 2006 as a Quality Engineer. Even though he had no background in design, his love affair started with Illustrator the first time he drew artwork in it. One of his pieces “Looking for Adventure” was included as part of the Illustrator CS6 Sample Files.

In his current role as Product Owner of Ai, he is part of the Product Management team and works with customers and engineering to find out what needs to be built in next version of Ai and how to build it. In his recent projects, Yogesh was instrumental in shaping up features like Live Corners, Live Rectangles, and CC Libraries in Illustrator CC.
