Food for Soul - Christmas and Peranakan edition. Date will be 12 December 6am to 4pm.
Still looking for volunteers, collaborators, partners and sponsors.
- Cooks/Chefs (You will be the main force behind the whole for "social good" project. You will plan the menu and cook)
- Food suppliers (you will supply us ugly food like vegetables and canned food, in a form of sponsor or sales)
- Restaurants and kitchen for rental businesses (you will be sponsor/rent us the kitchen and dining space)
- Volunteers (food rescuer, publicity, finance, logistics, operation)
- Funders and sponsors (supporting kitchen rental and ingredient costs, the money stuff)
Food for Soul is a ground-up Initiative started by Solomon Kang. Food for Soul's mission is to gather ugly food and turn them into comfy healthy meal for those who need them more, with the help of trained cooks. By using ugly food as our main source of ingredient, we work towards reducing Singapore food waste and feed the individuals and families who are facing poverty. At the same time, people can also see how ugly food can still be turned into a healthy and safe meal, with the right attitude and methods.
