Wednesday workshop March 11th 7pm at Louisville Underground: CROW

CROW is an acronym in improvisational theater that stands for Character, Relationship, Objective, and Where/When, serving as a foundational framework for creating engaging scenes.

### Breakdown of CROW Components

1. Character (C): This refers to who the characters are in the scene. It involves defining their traits, backgrounds, and motivations. Understanding your character helps to create a more believable and engaging performance. Questions to consider include: Who are you? What is your name? What do you want?
2. Relationship (R): This aspect focuses on the connections between characters. It’s essential to establish how characters relate to one another, which can drive the scene's dynamics. Consider questions like: What is your relationship with the other characters? Why are you together in this scene?
3. Objective (O): Every character should have a clear objective or goal in the scene. This drives the action and gives the character purpose. Ask yourself: What do you want to achieve in this scene? What are you trying to accomplish?
4. Where/When (W): This component sets the scene's context, including the location and time. Establishing where and when the scene takes place helps the audience understand the environment and circumstances. Questions to consider include: Where is the scene happening? Is it in the past, present, or future?

Christy Cork has studied with Monkey Butler and the Groundlings. She performs with Welcome to the Dojo, the premier house team of Improv Boulder.

This workshop will be held at The Louisville Underground (inside Tilt!, under Verde) from 7-9 pm. No experience necessary and beginners are always welcome. We'll have pizza, too.
