Improv drop-in workshop: Improvised Shakespeare with Patrick & Jenna
Details
Join us for an instructive and fun workshop with Jenna McK and Patrick Duvall - Improvised Shakespeare!
Discover Shakespeare the fun way — by playing! We’ll kick things off with quick language games that get you thinking, speaking, and feeling in rhythm. Then we’ll wander through playful character exercises to spark bold, curious personas.
From there, you’ll dive into scenes built around classic Shakespearean archetypes — lovers, fools, schemers, and royals — before taking the stage for short, spirited sets that mix improv’s spontaneity with the Bard’s flair for drama.
This class is about learning through doing: laughing, experimenting, and letting Shakespeare’s world unfold through play. Big choices welcome, perfection optional. Note: these skills translate to regular improv, too!
Patrick is a member of our house team, Highbrow Fartz and often teaches improv workshops for us. Jenna is a member of our house team, Trust Fall Incident.
The workshop will be held at The Louisville Underground (inside Tilt!, under Verde) from 7-9 pm. No experience necessary and beginners are always welcome. We'll have pizza, too.
Feel free to email Cynthia@improvboulder.com with any questions.
See you Wednesday!
