Join us for an instructive and fun workshop with Jay Treat!

Wednesday workshop January 28th 7pm at Louisville Underground: Wicked/Awesome Characters with Jay Treat

How often do you remember to play a character? Do you feel self-conscious about it?

We each contain multitudes and you can summon forth anyone with a bit of intention and training. Create characters in the two seconds it takes you to walk on stage. Use voice and physicality to demonstrate what kind of person you are regardless of the words you're saying. Use point of view and motivation to eliminate the need to think about what to do and say next. React emotionally to bring meaning to every scene.

Jay Treat has studied with Chaos Bloom, Second City, the Groundlings, UCB, and more. He performs with Not My Robot, the Uncommers, Portmantwo, JK, and more. He's writing an improv book.

This workshop will be held at The Louisville Underground (inside Tilt!, under Verde) from 7-9 pm. No experience necessary and beginners are always welcome. We'll have pizza, too.
