If you have a curiosity about improv or are a full blown fan, this meetup will share ways to watch, participate and make friends being a part of this revolutionary art form. Workshop for this Wednesday, October 1st at 7pm, is back at Louisville Underground! Andrew Long from Chaos Bloom is returning to facilitate the workshop titled GEEKING OUT! HOW TO TURN YOUR PASSIONS INTO POWERFUL SCENES.

Details drive good scene work. And specifics flow freely when we're discussing a topic about which we care about deeply. In this workshop we'll explore multiple techniques to turn our obsessions, fandoms, etc. into improv rocket fuel. And then we'll apply those same tools to subjects with which we're not that familiar, even ones that we invent on the spot. So join in and let your geek flag fly, your improv scenes will thank you!

Short Bio: Andrew got into improv because of his realtor. 😜 He has studied and performed on teams at all three Denver theaters and currently teaches and co-hosts the weekly jam at Chaos Bloom.

Workshop is held at Louisville Underground (inside Tilt! in downtown Louisville under Verde) from 7-9 pm. No experience is necessary and beginners are always welcome. Oh, and we have pizza. Grab a beer at the bar, too.

Join us The End Lafayette at Dog House Music Studios on Friday October 3rd for Improv Boulder's LAUGH-ayette at The End Lafayette. Doors open at 7PM and the show starts at 8PM with cocktails, beer, wine, cider and seltzers, plus some snacks and coffee/tea to help y’all enjoy your night!

You'll find quick wit, bold characters, and the unexpected comedic chaos you can only get when nothing is scripted at Improv Boulder's new monthly improv comedy show, Laugh-ayette Improv. The region's funniest improvisers will make up an entire show on the spot — based on YOUR suggestions — in one of the most atmospheric and immersive venues hosting comedy in Boulder County.

We had a great time at our inaugural show at this new venue in September...join us for all the laughs! Three teams are performing: Improv Boulder house teams, Hot Plunge and Welcome to the Dojo, as well as guest team from Denver, Basement Doctors.
