About us

What is Reiki? Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality. It involves a Reiki practitioner channeling healing energy from the Universe and then gently placing their hands on the receiver and letting it flow through their hands into them. What this does is help facilitate the natural healing process of the client's body. The basic belief is that the body heals itself and the Reiki practitioner is aiding in that healing. It is not associated with any religion. Reiki has a long history and many teachers. I was taught Usui Reiki.

Benefits of Reiki include: better sleep, lowered anxiety, increased creativity, and pain relief.

I will add Reiki is NOT a replacement for any medical or mental/emotional care you may be receiving, but rather a supportive form of self care.

Since my first mini session over 10 years ago, Reiki Circles have been a part my LA life. However, since the Pandemic, I have not seen many in-person ones, so I decided to create a group for it.

The intention behind those I've been to in the past and the ones I'm facilitating is this: to bring together like-minded people to receive Reiki, share experiences, and build connection and community.

Reiki Circles are simply a group of people being lead by a Reiki Practitioner or Master who does a short meditation then each person is given a mini session of Reiki. As one person receives the others hold the space. Quite often there are a few practitioners in the Circles so that people can be paired off with one. At the end for those that are inspired to do so, experiences of the session will be shared with the group.

Whether you are a seasoned Reiki Practitioner or someone who has never experienced it but curious, this is the place for you. All are welcome.

    Reiki in the Park

Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park, 14201 Huston St., Sherman Oaks, CA, US

THIS IS RESCHEDULING OF THE CXLD EVENT ON SUN SEPT 6TH. Thanx

This Reiki Circle is will be outdoors at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park and maybe rescheduled or cancelled due to rain. I usually set up in the grassy area just south of the small parking lot off of Hazeltine Ave at this pin:
    https://maps.app.goo.gl/2HnaXoR1M5CKnbHp8

GPS will still take you a different part of the park and then have you walk to the pin. You'll want to come a little early to find parking and get to the pinned area. It is a nice park and a little walk it always nice. The easiest place to park with the least amount of walking is on the small parking lot on Hazeltine.

If you are unable to attend, please make sure to change your RSVP because there is usually a wait list.

If you are a Reiki practitioner, depending on the time and number of people attending, I may ask for you to assist with giving mini Reiki Sessions. You will of course be given your own mini session.

    Here's what to bring:
A chair--camping or folding chair, one that is fairly comfortable for you
A blanket or Jacket in case you get cold
    Water
    An open heart and mind
    Your intention

The itinerary will be as follows:
    1. Intro--We'll share our names and our intentions
    2. A little explanation about Reiki
    3. A short meditation to ground us and create our own safe place
    4. A short Reiki session (depending on number of people either I will give a short session to everyone or we will split off into pairs).
    5. Share experiences
    6. Closing affirmation

Doing this outdoors at a park is an exciting idea and also an experiment thus the request for an open mind and heart. If it goes well, I will continue in parks. I would in the future like to find an indoor place especially in the winter. Just putting that out to the universe.

This event is a "pay what you can" just to cover the cost of organizing it and future events. I accept Venmo or cash. If you are unable to contribute, that is perfectly fine. No one will be turned away for that reason.

Thank you so much for letting me facilitate this for you.
