In and Around Coventry 20s–40s — What We're About & Guidelines

This group is for people aged 20–49 living in and around Coventry who would like to meet new people, build friendships, and be part of a welcoming social community.

Many people join because they’ve recently moved to the city, started a new job, or simply found that their social circle has changed over time. Others have lived in Coventry for years but would still like to meet new people and expand their social life.

The aim of the group is simple — to create a relaxed and friendly space where people can come together, talk, and get to know each other.

We organise regular social events across the city where the focus is on conversation, connection, and enjoying each other’s company. Some events may take place in cafés, pubs, or other public venues, but the main purpose is always to provide a comfortable environment where people can meet and socialise.

To help keep the group friendly and welcoming for everyone, members are asked to:

• Have a clear profile photo where your face can be seen (preferably without sunglasses), as these are in-person events.
• Be respectful of other members and the venues that host our events.
• Any behaviour that negatively affects the enjoyment of others may result in being asked to leave an event and removal from the group.

To help keep the group active and make space for people who would like to attend events, inactive accounts may occasionally be removed. This includes accounts that have not participated in the group for an extended period of time, or members who repeatedly RSVP to events but do not attend.

If this happens, you are always welcome to rejoin the group in the future.

Finally, when answering the joining questions, please take a moment to give thoughtful responses — low-effort answers suggest a lack of interest in actually attending and may not be accepted.
