What we're about (full description)
IndabaX Egypt is the official Egyptian edition of the Deep Learning Indaba — the pan-African movement that strengthens machine learning and artificial intelligence across the continent, backed by Google DeepMind and the Mastercard Foundation.
This is where Egypt's AI community meets between editions of our national conference. Our 2025 edition was hosted by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and covered on national television; our 2026 edition runs 16–18 August at ElGazeera Institute in Cairo. But the community does not wait for August. This group is where it lives all year.

Who this is for:
University students and fresh graduates finding their footing in AI
ML and AI engineers who build in production
Researchers and academics working on the frontier
Founders and startup teams applying AI to real problems
Anyone in Egypt serious about learning, building, and belonging in this field

What we do when we meet:
Hands-on workshops — RAG systems, agentic AI, MLOps, computer vision, Arabic NLP, taught by people who ship
Talks and fireside sessions with Egyptian AI leaders, industry practitioners, and voices from the global Indaba network
Paper reading and study circles for those going deep
Project showcases and demo nights where you present what you built, polished or in progress

Community socials — because the network matters as much as the knowledge

What we believe:
We believe Egypt's AI talent should not just use AI, but build it. We believe quality learning belongs to everyone, in Arabic and in English, free and open. And we believe the strongest ideas come from a room where students, engineers, researchers, and founders sit together.
Our meetups are free, community-run, and non-profit.
