Indianapolis Creatives Society

Bring your paper, books and laptops! These are casual creative sessions, bring with you any tools & artistic/technical project(s) you are working on or even if you want to draw stick figures, that's fine too!

This is a no-judgment, no-instruction, no-pressure environment. No critiques unless you ask for them. All skill levels welcome- from total beginners to seasoned creatives. The goal is simple: show up, make stuff or learn something, enjoy some coffee, and vibe with people who get it.

Serving as an excuse to make friends, share, learn, and collaborate, or just unwind in the company of others, anything goes!

We mostly meet every Saturday @ 6:30 PM, venue may change or event rescheduled/canceled so please make sure of the date! Event "officially" limited to 20 people so please confirm attendance!

Some examples of stuff you could try is: writing, crafts, digital art (3d modeling, painting, etc.), sketching, animating, prototyping, media editing/making, studying a language/topic or just plain reading a book are ok!

"First Friday + Public Exhibitions Opening Day!

CAMi's public opening coincides with First Friday, Indianapolis' monthly arts district celebration. Visitors are invited to socialize, meet exhibiting artists, and explore inaugural shows across six gallery spaces totaling more than 10,000 square feet in the new building.

First Friday visitors can enjoy dinner from Chef Dan's Cajun and Southern food truck, as well as wine, beer, and coffee from CAMi's new bar and cafe “Stall” and Normal Coffee."
