Kurosawa and more!

Sorry for the late notice. The Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair Film Festival opens this weekend at Stray Cat, beginning with (1952 masterpiece) "Ikiro" Sunday evening. Then Wedesday evening, it's (1970 film on electronic sueveillance) "The Ear" -- Unfolding like THE CONVERSATION by way of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, THE EAR evokes the ever-present sense of dread that defines life under authoritarianism.

I am really bummed that I can not make it in on either of these dates, but I encourage everyone to check out Stray Cat Film Center for these and other offerings.
