See all- Dog Race @ The LexingtonThe Lexington, London
Yet another dog named band, Dog Race have been showing a lot of pedigree so far. "It's The Squeeze" and "The Leader"were 2 of the best singles of 2024, and they've followed those up with recent single "Return The Day (Colours)". I've been wanting to see them for quite a while & look forward to doing so at The Lexington.

There's a Mouse in my House - Belly @ Electric Ballroom: (Celebrating King at 30)Electric ball room , London
Formed in 1991 by Tanya Donelly (formerly of Throwing Muses and the Breeders) with Tom and Chris Gorman, Belly became known for a blend of spirited guitar rock, countrified dream-pop, and Donelly’s haunting lyrics and voice. (Spiel: Robbed from BellyOffical),
Belly are back playing live and provide a good route to 90's nostalgia for those who may or may not have seen them before. I'm feeling nostalgic and looking forward to the gig!
NOTE: This is a "Celebrating King at 30" night which I guess will mean, they'll play the full (or most of the) King album. Album nights are normally topped up with hits and other tunes from the rest of the artist's backlist also & not just the album-play alone. I presume the same for this.

- Junk Drawer @ The Windmill - Tickets £6Windmill Brixton, London
"Incorporating the imprint of Krautrock, post-punk, and psychedelia, Junk Drawer's intuitively loose and idiosyncratic brand of indie rock mines anthems from their crate-digging tendencies. Featuring four multi-instrumentalists & vocalists fluid in their roles, they're driven by the inevitable harmony and discordance that comes from the sibling creative rivalry at the helm."
(Robbed from https://www.hooley.ie/junkdrawer/)Belfast band Junk Drawer come to the Windmill on Oct 22nd and are definitely worth a punt at £6. I only came across them about 6 months ago and they remind me of a bit of a mix of Grandaddy, Fat White Family, Being Dead and Parquet Courts, (to name but a few) at times.

- Jasmine.4.t @ ScalaTHE SCALA, N1 9NL
Hey guys, following a couple of shows in London earlier in the year, Jasmine.4.t is back in the capital for another gig in November. Who's up for checking it out?
Some blurb from the artist:
Jasmine.4.T (Jasmine Cruikshank) is a Manchester-based indie rock singer-songwriter and the first UK artist signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records. Her debut album, You Are The Morning (2025), explores themes of queer intimacy, chosen family, and personal transformation. Produced with Boygenius members Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, the album reflects Jasmine’s journey as a trans woman and her experiences within the LGBTQ+ community. Known for her candid songwriting and evocative performances, she is also an advocate for trans rights and visibility in music.
My favourite tracks are Elephant and Guy Fawkes Tesco Dissociation, check out some tunes on Spotify and Bandcamp, other streaming sites are available!
Tickets are £17 and available from the Scala website via DICE.
