Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Feeling Gloomy pre-drinks (The Cure Special)The Phoenix (close to Oxford Circus Tube), London
Meet in the main bar (ground floor) from 8.30pm. The club night is downstairs in the basement. We'll go downstairs about 11pm.
They usually have tickets on the door but I'd recommend buying your ticket (£7) in advance anyway.
If you're not a massive Cure fan you should come anyway 'cos TBH, they usually seem forget they're supposed to be playing a particular band and just play the normal stuff anyway.

## The Cure: Disintegration 35th Anniversary Special
The 2nd May will mark the 35th anniversary of The Cure's absolute masterpiece Disintegration.
To mark this date we're going to be throwing another one of our legendary Cure specials, so backcomb your hair, get that eyeliner out and prepare yourself for a night of pure misery.
Expect all our favourite tracks from the album such as Pictures of You, Lovesong, Fascination Street, Lullaby and more as well as an extra dose of other hits, faves and rarities from Bob Smith and he boys all mixed in with your usual blend of depressing indie floor fillers.
Ease your woes with our eclectic mix of melancholic melodies that you have come to know and love at Feeling Gloomy over the past 18 years as we provide the perfect soundtrack to get you dancing with tears in your eyes.
Music
As well as loads of The Cure faves you can expect to hear stuff like Blur, Suede, The Smiths, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Pulp, Nick Cave, Kate Bush, Blondie, Human League, Joy Division and much more! - Daiistar @ Strongroom Bar - ## £13.00 ##Strongroom Bar, London
DAIISTAR is an Alt-Indie band formed in Austin, Texas in the spring of 2020. The band takes their inspiration from the neo-psychedelic era of the 80s and 90s (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, early Primal Scream) and pulls it into the future with modulating synthesizers, heavy guitars, bouncing bass lines, and spiraling hooks, creating a narcotic blend of noise and melody.
Support from Empty Full Space & Ghost Patterns
Empty Full Space is made up of five french musicians, who shaped their own modern psychedelic space rock by merging krautrock influences, Hawkwind’s hypnotic patterns and tripping guitar riffs recalling The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Sailor Honeymoon are a Korean-indie supergroup of sorts. The band features three musicians from disparate mediums who are all well-established in their own medium. Photographer and vocalist for new-wave band Deadbeat Club, Abi Raymaker, is on drums. Techno DJ Zaeeun Shin plays guitar. Indie icon Jimin Kim (aka Meaningful Stone) plays bass. The Korean punk trio hit the ground running with their debut single Cockroach, a tongue-in-cheek song about trying to get rid of an unwanted insect. Part indie rock, part spoken word inspired by Kim Deal and Kim Gordon, they barrel through two minutes of good-natured, fuzzy garage-tinted goodness.
