Upcoming events (4+)

I am pleased that indie band 'Tugboat Captain' have added this extra date to their Autumn UK tour. It relates to their most recent album 'RUT'which they recorded last year at Abbey Road Studios.

I have been following them for three years now, an interesting band who I saw at the Lexington venue in 2019. This album is fresh and whimsical. The track 'C'mon Haribo ' which you can search online always makes me smile. Fancy creating a song based on a make of sweets lol, very original. Other tracks stand out too like 'If tomorrow's like Today' and 'Day to Day' which has an interesting video.

There is good support on the night too from 'Kitty Fitz ' and 'Mt Misery'.

Tickets are £7.50 via DICE, https://dice.fm/event/kb8kl-tugboat-captain-23rd-oct-the-george-tavern-l… , (taken from their Facebook page, 8 Sept post).

The George Tavern is a traditional pub venue and it will be good to see you there.

POP QUIZ @ the Lexington

The Lexington

Edited from the Lexington's own blurb:

"The all-new but very familiar quiz! Still hosted by Paul Guided Missile. £2 entry per person. With top prize of £60, second prize round of drinks, and a multi-pack of crisps for the best team name.

Name that tune, identify the popstar, answer the headfuck question, spot the intro - multiple rounds of pop-related trivia questions presented by exceedingly entertaining quizmaster Paul Guided Missile. Book tables for 7pm (or earlier) for up to six players per team.

"It's far from serious stuff as the potty-mouthed quizmaster guides you through some pretty silly rounds, including one based on Bob Holness' "Blockbusters". A multi-pack of crisps goes to the team with the best name, as judged by a 'clapometer'!" - Time Out 'London's Ten Best Pub Quizzes'.

Sinead O'Brien

Chats Palace

Sinead O'Brien is an Irish poet and musician with a really interesting storytelling style of signing. She seems quite different and her singles to date have been very promising. I spotted this gig a while back & was thinking it would be good to see her live.

Samples of her singles can be checked out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzDTTtPLsnQ

Tickets are currently on sale on Dice at £12.10 https://dice.fm/event/be2px-sinead-obrien-28th-oct-chats-palace-london-tickets

iRRegular Pub Meetup (at Strongroom Bar)

Location visible to members

Remember shouting at that other indie geek's ear during the gig?

had no idea what s/he was saying ? that's because you were at a gig, and a gig is not a place to mingle.

Our regular indie pub meetups are custom made to mingle.

Come along to our new regular pub meetup to share a drink or two or three with other indie types... The organisers won't always be available so please let us know if you'd like to host!
