See all- Being Dead @ Oslo (Tickets £21)Oslo Hackney, London
"Being Dead are an American indie rock band from Austin, Texas, known for their eclectic, genre-bending sound and energetic live shows. They blend elements of surf rock, freak pop, and frantic punk, creating a unique and kaleidoscopic musical experience. The band, composed of Falcon B*tch, Gumball, and Ricky Moto, has released two full-length albums, "When Horses Would Run" (2023) and "Eels" (2024), both to critical acclaim. "
- AI Generated BlurbI seen Being Dead at Wide Awake 2024 and really liked them, without knowing them too well. Their album Eels then ended up being my favourite album of '24. Having missed them at the Moth Club earlier this year, I'm looking forward to catching them again at Oslo.
- Non AI Generated BlurbTickets are £21'ish on Dice and Gigantic
Some Tuneage: YouTube, Spotify - Victorious Festival, Portsmouth (pls confirm in comments if bought a ticket)Needs location
Anyone fancy going to Victorious (Portsmouth) on the Saturday this year?
Vampire Weekend are the main attraction for me (oh and Betty Boo!) but there are loads of other bands. Victorious Festival - Portsmouth - 22/23/24 August 2025
It's pretty cheap for a major festival - about £85 for a day ticket and easy to get to by train from London. From past experience there's never been a problem catching a train home at the end.
I'm not 100% certain I'll go yet but thought I'd post this for info, and firm up nearer the time. Do sign up or just comment if interested. Thanks. - The Smyths @100 Club100 Club, London
To celebrate 40 years since the release of Meat is Murder, The Smyths are on tour and they're at the legendary 100 Club.
Tickets are £25 + bf https://www.the100club.co.uk/clubevents/the-smyths-sept-25/
The Smyths are back on tour for 2025!
The new tour is a celebration of the classic release of the album, Meat Is Murder.
Alongside revisiting tracks off this great album the band will also play a ‘Best Of’ set with tracks all across the classic Smiths back catalogue.A Morrissey/Marr reunion is highly unlikely and I reckon The Smyths are the next best thing!
Meet up from 18:30 in the Blue Posts pub round the corner for a pre-drink and a chat:
