+++ Introduction +++
'Ganghwado DMZ Peace Trail Course 1' is a 16.75km walking trail that stretches from the Ganghwa Peace Observatory to the South Gate of Munsusanseong Fortress.
The walk takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours.
The section from Ganghwa Peace Observatory to Yeonmijeong Checkpoint is closed to traffic starting one hour before sunset.
This section is a military zone, so please use only designated routes.
Access to military facilities and photography are prohibited.
Key attractions include:
* Ganghwa Peace Observatory: An observatory offering views of North Korea from the closest point to the island (approximately 1.8km away).
* Korean War Veterans Memorial Park: A space commemorating the tragedy of war and international cooperation.
* Yeonmijeong: A pavilion built during the Goryeo Dynasty, this historic site was damaged during the Korean War but has since been restored.
* Gapgotdon and Wolgotdon: Coastal defense structures from the Joseon Dynasty, strategically located at the northern tip of Ganghwado Island.

+++ Preparation +++
*ID card (alien registration card, passport, driver's license, etc.)(required -Without this, this event is impossible!)
* Hiking shoes(Most important for safety!)
* Water(Thermos recommended in winter)
* Extra clothes to change into during activity
* Gloves (for Keep warm or non-slip use)
* Snacks & light Lunch (If we meet after 1pm, no preparation is required)
* Raincoat (in case of rain)
* Crampons (if it snows)
+++ Itinerary +++
* 9:30 - Meet at Outside Exit 1 of Geulpobukbyeon Station on Gimpo Gold Line and Take the bus No.3000(광역버스).
* 10:30 ~ 11:00 - After getting off at Ganghwa Terminal, take bus NO. 26.
If the bus interval is too long, take a taxi to the Peace Observatory.
*11:10 ~ 17:00 - Lunch and a walk (16.75km).
*17:00 ~ 18:00 - Dinner or Go home.
