Let's Talk Movies on Zoom! + 8 1/2 (1963) Discussion

Join us for our monthly movie discussion on Zoom! First up will be our regular icebreaker round where we go “around the room” and invite everyone to talk about a movie you’ve watched recently. Give us a short summary, how you saw it and a recommendation or a warning.

In the second hour we'll discuss the movie of the month. The series theme for 2025 is "member's pick." This month's selection is Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 (1963), widely regarded as one of the greatest films of world cinema. Join us to discuss metafiction in film, 8 1/2's influence on movies about artists, the visual effects including the black-and-white cinematography, and more.

Info for Zoom Meetups: Indy Film Buffs operates on Eastern time. The Zoom link will be added to the Meetup event shortly before start time. As a best practice to avoid Zoom bombing, attendees who JOIN the meeting with camera off will be removed from the Zoom meeting.
