Movie at Indianapolis Central Library: "Buffalo '66"

The Indy Cinema Series presents a screening of the 1998 film, "Buffalo '66" directed by Vincent Gallo. Starring Christina Ricci, Vincent Gallo, Mickey Rourke, Anjelica Huston, Ben Gazzara, and Rosanna Arquette. The film will be presented on the big screen screen, in Clowes Auditorium Theater (300 seats) at Central Library. Free and open to all.

"Buffalo '66" is one of the greatest independent drama-comedies in the cinematic canon. The film follows Billy Brown, a recently released ex-con who impulsively kidnaps a young tap dancer, Layla. Billy tries to convince Layla to pretend to be his wife when meeting his dysfunctional parents. As their relationship develops, it is revealed that Billy is facing a dark turning point in his own deep troubled past. The film is known for its distinctive visual style, unique film aesthetics, dark humor, and emotional depth. Intro to film 5:45 pm. Film starts at 6:00 pm.
