The Indy Cinema Series presents a double feature screening at Central Library. During the Indianapolis Public Library's "Day of Chess."
Both films will be presented on the big screen screen, in Clowes Auditorium Theater (300 seats) at Central Library. Free and Open to all.
Intro to film 12:30 pm. Film starts at 12:35 pm.
Bring a snack if you like, enjoy some chess, catch a film.

Two Films:

"Magnus" is a documentary about the child prodigy to chess champion, Magnus Carlsen.

"The Royal Game" a psychological drama based on the novella by Stefan Zweig. A notary public, accountant, and polymath for Royal Court of Vienna is captured in the 1938 invasion of Austria (Anschluss). Before the Nazis secure him for confinement he grabs one book, a chess strategy book, memorizing it. Years later, he sails to America. He remembers the terrible confinement and every bit of the book he stole, giving him the ability to compete with the greatest of chess prodigy of their time.
