The Indiana Humanities Lit Fest is a free literary festival that celebrates the power of writing in the Midwest. It is hosted by Indiana Humanities and features a variety of activities such as book fairs, author readings, workshops, and more. The festival aims to connect writers and readers, encourage new writing, and promote the literary community in Indiana.
Over the course of the festival 80 volunteers are needed; the Indianapolis Ambassadors are hosting a Meetup group of volunteers on Saturday.
Volunteer positions include: Registration, wayfinding, story-time assistance, author assistance, writing workshop assistance, set-up, teardown, room monitoring, parking assistance, floaters.

Throughout the weekend, you can expect even more workshops led by experienced writers, expanded hands-on bookish activities for all ages, and activities for young readers, along with food trucks, music, games, and prizes.
Free street parking in the area. Lunch and snacks are provided for volunteers.
