A social gathering...

Details
We have not done one of these in a while, so I figured what the hell it was time to schedule one. I felt the need to remind everyone that we are a social group with a d20 habit.
On December 14th, it?s a Friday night, there is a fund raiser for the Naptown Roller Girls at Radio Radio, in Fountain Square. Last year we all had a great time at the roller derby and this is the kick off pep rally for the season, so i figured whet the heck. There are 4 bands playing and there is a $5 cover.
Here is the calendar entry for the event from Radio Radio website.
Rev It Up Promotions presents:

King Louie
Were he born a century ago, King Louie Bankston would've dominated New
Orleans' Storyville district as a pimp, a player, and a master
musician. His character is one-of-a-kind, his street savvy and his
musical chops inimitable, and his ability to fall into absurd
situations truly unrivaled. He's also a walking contradiction, able to
look dapper after days in the same plaid wool suit or even when
wearing a "bedazzled" denim vest and a pair of worn jeans. He's able
to shape-shift, emerging at times as chubby as a Chinese Buddha or as
lean as Marlon Brando's Stanley Kowalski. His music, too, ranges from
noisy punk to rangy, country-inflected rock. He plays drums and
guitar, and, in his one-man band, he plays both instruments at the
same time.
Notorious for having a plethora of projects in the works, he's been in
some of the greatest Garage Punk bands to have ever hit the scene.
Some of his bands that he's most notable for are: Royal Pendletons
(Sympathy For The Record Industry/Goner Records), The Persuaders
(Savage Records/Shattered Records), Bad Times (with Eric "Oblivian"
Fridel from the Oblivians and Jay Reatard), Kajun SS, Black Rose Band,
and Exploding Hearts. Though he left Exploding Hearts before the
release of their first (and, sadly, only) album, Guitar Romantic,
"King" Louie Bankston has carried the rock torch for his former band
mates since the untimely deaths of the Hearts' Jeremy Gage, Adam Cox,
and Matthew Fitzgerald in a 2003 automobile accident. Louie's newest
endeavor is King Louie & The Loose Diamonds, which is receiving great
reviews on Pitchfork and other popular music publications, has that
same pop vibe that he brought to the Exploding Hearts. The One Man
Band reflects on all of these bands ranging from punk to country to
pop. Some folks have even made the comparison to the genius Hasil
Adkins (R.I.P.). Regardless, he's an act not to be missed.
Hope to see you there, please feel free to bring your non-gaming significant others.
