IndyPy Monthly Meetup

  • This location is shown only to members

  • This month, Matt Rasband will present, Docker, Python and You.

Docker is a platform for isolating an application and its dependencies, which to some extent solves the problem of "it works on my machine". The implications of this are often only attributed to web development and DevOps - however it has further implications that can help all Pythonistas elevate application development and deployment along with sharing and collaboration (e.g. scientific and research applications). We will focus on understanding Docker, the problems it solves, and how it applies from webdevs to machine learners, and everyone in between.

Matt Rasband is a long term Python enthusiast, admin of one of the largest Python based Slack teams (PythonDev), and Senior Developer in Carmel.

Hope to see you for beers and Python!
