OpenAI’s GPT family of Large Language Models is a genuinely transformative technology. It has pushed forward the technological boundary of artificial intelligence and ignited excitement in the industry around new capabilities. But, is AI a hammer in search of nails? What kinds of problems exactly does AI make easier to solve, and what concepts and tools do we have available for incorporating a natural _language interface into programming language paradigm?

The interface into this capability, natural language, requires a “mindset shift” from normal, strictly defined programming. Brian Ritz, Director of Data Science Solutions at SPINS, will discuss how he has changed the way he thinks about writing code and building software in light of recent innovations.
