About us
INFORMS is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to and promoting best practices and advances in operations research, management science, and analytics to improve operational processes, decision-making, and outcomes. INFORMS serves the analytics and O.R. community on international, national and regional levels to promote communication between each other, other professional societies and various clientele. The San Francisco Chapter will hold frequent meetings in the Bay Area to promote these interactions and conversations. These meetings will include speaker events, panel discussions and happy hours. Join us for the 2026 SFO INFORMS Chapter Regional Conference (IRAC SF Bay Area 2026) on Friday, October 2 at San José State University.
This year’s theme is:
“How AI and Optimization Are Transforming Decision-Making at Scale.”
We’re bringing together industry practitioners, students, and researchers from across the operations research, AI, optimization, analytics, and decision intelligence communities for a full day of learning, discussion, and connection.
