Ink & Intention is a casual space for people who want to explore calligraphy without any pressure or prior experience. Whether you've always been curious about beautiful lettering or you're looking for a mindful creative practice, this is the place to start. We focus on foundational techniques and different calligraphy styles in a judgment-free environment where everyone works at their own pace.
Each meetup is pretty straightforward—I'll share some basics or a specific technique, we'll practice together, and there's plenty of time to ask questions and chat with other people in the group. You don't need to bring anything fancy; I'm happy to help people figure out what supplies make sense for them. Some folks come once in a while, others show up regularly, and both are totally fine. The goal is just to have a calm, welcoming space where people can discover if calligraphy is something they enjoy.
If you like working with your hands, appreciate good lettering, or just want to try something new and meditative, come hang out with us. No experience necessary, just bring an open mind and maybe a notebook.
