Spokane Audubon Society Saltese Flats Bird Walk
Details
Join Spokane Audubon's Alan McCoy and Margo Wolf for an special trip to one of the best birding spots in the county! This area was recently restored to it's original birding mecca wetland. The field trip is an easy walk along flat trails although in some years the water level can be high enough to limit where we can walk. A spotting scope will be available as well as binoculars for those who need a pair. All levels of birders are welcome. Advanced registration required. 12 people maximum.
Please register by contacting either:
Alan (509-999-9512, ahm2352@gmail.com) or Margo (509-954-9517, ml12712@icehouse.net).
Meet at the Doris Morrison Learning Center, 1330 S Henry Rd, Greenacres, WA 99016. Please arrive sometime prior to 8 am. For some information about the wetlands, check out this article in Out There Outdoors from March 8, 2023. For even more information, check out the DMLC website.
