Dear Friends,

Join Inside Wine Santa Barbara in this educational tasting with one of our most esteemed and talented winemakers, Ernst Storm, on Thursday, August 31st at 5:30 pm.

Inside Wine SB is grateful to the generosity of the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum in giving us a tremendous discount so we can hold this Meetup at their place--plus they will be giving every attendee a free membership! We will enjoy a gorgeous view of the harbor from our vantage point of the Maritime Museum's front patio.

SBMM is thrilled to provide Inside Wine event attendees with a Crew family membership for the museum. A family membership is good for up to two adults and free admission for children under 18 years-old. Learn more about SBMM membership.

Light appetizers will accompany the tasting. Any proceeds from the event after expenses are paid will be donated to the Maritime Museum.

Our tasting menu:

2022 Storm Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley: Citrus, lychee and gooseberry notes on the nose. Notes of crisp green apple, pink grapefruit and juicy white peach linger on the vibrant palate. (usual retail $28)

2022 Storm Rosé, Santa Barbara County: The grenache for this rosé was sourced from Watch Hill Vineyard in the Los Alamos Valley. The mediterranean climate combined with older vines yield fruit with exceptional balance and depth. Watermelon and floral notes on the nose. The palate is bright with flavors of strawberry, watermelon and a hint of pineapple. (usual retail $28)

2021 Storm Cabernet Franc, Curtis Vineyard: Bright cherry fruit and bell pepper dominate the nose with hints of tea leaf and red pepper flakes. The palate is bursting with berry fruit and held together by fine tannins and a firm structure. (usual retail $38)

2022 Storm Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County: Black cherry, red licorice, orange peel and tart cranberry fill the nose with hints of dark spice. The palate is full, with bright raspberry and blackberry flavors with a delicate yet structured finish. (usual retail $45)

2020 Storm Pinot Noir, Donnachadh Vineyard: The Donnachadh Vineyard (pronounced "done uh kah") is located in the heart of Sta. Rita Hills AVA on Santa Rosa Road. This pinot noir is planted on a steep hillside block on marine-derived shale with high clay content, rock and cobble. Cool winds from the Pacific Ocean make for challenging conditions which results in smaller yields on this site. Plum and notes of underbrush dominate the nose with hints of hard spice and graphite. Juicy dark fruit lingers long and vibrant on the palate with a refreshing acidity holding everything together. (usual retail $58)

NOTE: The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM), which is located in the Waterfront Center Building (formerly the Naval Reserve Building), opened its doors to the public in July 2000, with the unique mission to interpret the rich and diverse maritime history of the Santa Barbara Channel. SBMM is an interactive museum – a place where the public can experience maritime culture without leaving the harbor.

Founded by a group of fisherman, divers, and sailors, SBMM provides hands-on learning opportunities for all ages, delving into Santa Barbara’s robust maritime history while highlighting the important role the Santa Barbara Channel plays in our culture and community.

From the engaging exhibitions, visitors leave with a love for and better understanding of the Santa Barbara Channel – its abundant marine life, the multiple recreational activities it provides, and the people making a living on its waters. [Learn more at sbmm.org](https://sbmm.org/).
