ABOUT THE EVENT

You are cordially invited to join us at the Embassy of Botswana for a night filled with fun and information on the country's culture, economy, business and tourism.

It's economy is dominated by mining, cattle and Tourism. Botswana is the world's biggest diamond exporter and it has an immense tourism potential, particularly in safari attractions. This event will try to show case that.

As the icing on the cake, H. E. Ambassador Onkokame Kitso Mokaila, who was the former Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism; will host it himself and share his deep knowledge of the sector.

Botswana is one of the examples of democracy in Africa. It has been a representative republic, with a consistent record of uninterrupted democratic elections since independence and the lowest perceived corruption ranking in Africa since at least 1998.

RUNDOWN :

1. BUFFET : A Botswana and African cuisine will be served.
2. OPEN BAR : Top Shelf drinks, all night long.
3. DRESS CODE : Business or Cocktail Attire

Refund and Ticket Resell Policy

All sales are final. We only refund the full amount, if the event is canceled. If it is rescheduled, we will send an email to ticket holders advising that. A full refund will be given to those that let us know within 2 calendar days of the update email, if you are unable to make it on the new date. No refunds will be given after that time.

However, you can sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. Please, feel free to post in the comment box for the event, that you have a ticket for sale. Work out payment between yourselves, and have the seller only send the organizer a message letting us know the full name of the person taking your spot. As you all remember well, this event used to bring out hundreds of people before COVID. However, it was discontinued last year for obvious reasons. During this unprecedented time we were in lockdowns/confinements and let alone to network we couldn't even stay in touch with our professional friends. Here we go, we are providing the forum.

This Happy Hour is devoted to professionals in the International Affairs and Development community, to grow, interact, and learn from each other. It is designed to provide a professional environment to meet other International Affairs professionals to broaden one's career. It is also for those interested in International Affairs and Development careers and are studying or intend to enter the dynamic world of global development.

HOW IT WORKS : We will try to assign tables for each represented INDUSTRIES/SECTORS/SPECIALIZATIONS and will direct attendees to their respective tables accordingly. All are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular field you would like to exchange experience. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR BUSINESS CARDS THOUGH.
