About us
The International Ghost Society is a creative studio based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We design immersive events here and elsewhere.
You might know us because of our semi-regular Robot Vacuum Fight Club, or our Post-Apoclayptic Christmas Party in a nuclear bunker. Or you might have met us when we hosted an interactive Valentine’s Day gameshow, an Exorcism in a Coffee Shop, or an Edinburgh Fringe show about history’s most infamous episode of Come Dine With Me.
If you want to be in the know for future events, you should join our mailing list. It’s free, and we only ever email you when we have something in the works.
We also have a YouTube channel where we post videos about strange, spooky and interesting things. We’d love it if you subscribed to us there as well.

Fringe Picnic 2026
The Meadows, 19 Teviot Place,, Edinburgh, GBCome along to a free picnic in the Meadows and meet other people visiting, performing at, or otherwise enjoying the Edinburgh Fringe.
If you're here for the Fringe, you're welcome - whether you're visiting, performing, reviewing, working, or just generally enjoying the Festival. We'll be a mix of visitors to Edinburgh and residents of the city.
The Fringe is one of the busiest times of the year in Edinburgh, with many different groups of people in the city. But all too often these groups don't mix; this free and open picnic is intended to address that.
We'll be situated in the vicinity of the Circus Hub on the Meadows. Look for someone wearing a ghost costume - that'll be us! We'll be present from 13:00 until about 17:00, at which point we'll retire for a drink at Summerhall, just around the corner.
We'll have some food, drinks and outdoor games. Feel free to bring along anything you'd like to eat or drink, and anything you're willing to share.
We'll see you there! 🧺☀️🥂
PS: This event is 100% free, but if you feel like it you can make a small donation to our friends at the excellent Grassmarket Community Project.

The IGS Awards
The Outhouse, 12A Broughton St Ln, Edinburgh, GBJoin us for the first annual IGS awards, recognising Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows in five unique categories.
We'll be handing out awards for the Best Terrifying Puppet, Most Amusing Novel Swearword, and Best Use Of Bodily Fluids In A Fringe Show, among others.
There'll be speeches, mild suspense, an assortment of live entertainment, an audience vote, and quite possibly some mild drama... all followed by an afterparty until late.
As it's an awards show we'll have some suitably fancy stuff going on, from canapes to a photographer to a vodka luge. There's no dress code, but you're very welcome to dress to impress if you feel like it.
The Outhouse is a mildly haunted venue, and if we're lucky some of the spirits that inhabit this historic pub might help us with the presentation of one of our awards. There'll be an audience vote as well.
Ceremonies begin at 19:30, and the afterparty at 21:30. The bar will be open throughout! As our venue is a bar, nobody under 18 will be able to attend.
