IICV Class: Foundations

Description:
The goal of this class is to provide you with an in-depth education about the basics of improv, build your confidence, and get you up on stage. The course will cover 4 main foundations of creating improv: Spontaneity, Active listening, Presence in the moment, Confidence.
All the foundations will be reviewed and used during every class, but each week will have a specific focus. The class will end with a show in which you are highly encouraged to perform and show off your awesome improv skills.

Teacher: Shawn Fisher
Shawn Fisher's journey towards improv started in the US sometime around 2010 where he jump in whole heartedly and never looked back. He was trained by the Second City training Center in Chicago. He also plays improv with the Rainbows Last Wish, 2 buttons short and the English Lovers. Shawn is an IICV improv teacher since 2018 and a professional teacher.

the International Improv Community in Vienna is an inclusive non profit association seeking to explore, play, practice, and perform improvised arts in a group setting. The volunteers of the association organise weekly sessions, classes and community events to create and support the community.
