Our Friday Storytelling Night brings together storytellers from Amsterdam and around the world, sharing personal, funny, moving, strange and unforgettable stories. No scripts, no slides — just people, stories and a room full of listeners.

Come by yourself or bring friends.

Don’t you think it’s time to jam together again?
Every second Sunday evening of the month, the finest and best musicians from all over the world come together and go wild with their instruments.
And you know what: you can be right in the middle of it. Bring your harp, trumpet, bugle, setar or Steinway Grand Piano and join in.
We have no idea where the tunes will take us, and that’s exactly what we like so much here at Mezrab.

Welcome to the hottest, most daring Storytelling evenings in town! Join us on Tuesday nights as we delve into uncharted territories, weaving tales with unknown topics. It’s a thrilling adventure as we explore new horizons together, embracing the allure of the unexpected.

Every Tuesday we have storytelling nights with different themes.
Mythological stories (every first Tuesday), stories from the queer community, improv theater and stories, stories and the written word ... and many more.

These are the nights that we are looking forward to the most: that's where the unexpected and the spontaneous happen - we as organisers don't know what kind of stories will be told, nor the host of the evening, and not you, the audience.
The Wednesday nights are the open stage nights in Mezrab. It means that anyone is welcome to tell, purely on a first come first serve basis.

We also leave two spots at the end of the night for the spontaneous.
