1963년 5월 23일 쿠바는 첫 해외 의료단을 알제리로 파견합니다. 이후 100여개가 넘는 국가에 10만명이 넘는 의사를 파견해 의료 국제주의를 실천해왔습니다. 현재 미국의 봉쇄로 인도주의적인 위기를 겪고 있는 쿠바, 하지만 쿠바의 연대는 멈추지 않습니다.
쿠바의사의 첫 해외 파견을 기념하는 5월, 국제전략센터는 주한쿠바대사관과 현재 베트남-쿠바 협력병원에서 활동하는 알프레도 카르시아 미레테 쿠바의사와의 간담회를 준비했습니다. 쿠바와 연대하고 싶은 분들 초대합니다.

On May 23, 1963, Cuba dispatched its first international medical brigade to Algeria. Since then, Cuba has practiced medical internationalism by sending more than 100,000 doctors to over 100 countries. Today, Cuba continues to face a humanitarian crisis caused by the U.S. blockade, yet Cuban solidarity has never stopped.
This May, commemorating the first overseas deployment of Cuban doctors, the International Strategy Center, together with the Embassy of Cuba in Korea, is organizing a special discussion with Dr. Alfredo García Mirete, a Cuban doctor currently working at the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital.
We warmly invite everyone who wishes to stand in solidarity with Cuba to join us.
